Abstract
Pentingnya menghitung Faktor Kerusakan Kendaraan (VDF) dalam mengevaluasi dampak kelebihan muatan di jalan raya dibuktikan dengan hasil berbagai penelitian. Kendaraan yang membawa muatan melebihi 15% menunjukkan nilai VDF yang tinggi, yang mengindikasikan potensi kerusakan signifikan pada infrastruktur jalan. Menganalisis distribusi beban dan dampak VDF pada setiap gandar kendaraan memberikan wawasan yang mendalam, dengan fokus pada identifikasi konfigurasi gandar yang berperan dominan dalam merumuskan solusi. Peningkatan kesadaran di kalangan pemilik usaha, penambahan peralatan, dan peningkatan keahlian petugas pemeriksa muatan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan penanganan pelanggaran muatan.
The importance of calculating the Vehicle Damage Factor (VDF) in evaluating the impact of overloading on roads is highlighted by the results of numerous studies. Vehicles carrying loads exceeding 15% demonstrate high VDF values, indicating a potential for significant damage to road infrastructure. Analyzing the distribution of loads and the impact of VDF on each vehicle axle provides deep insights, with a focus on identifying axle configurations that play a dominant role in formulating solutions. Increasing awareness among business owners, adding equipment, and improving the expertise of load inspectors are necessary to enhance the handling of load violations
